In Eldur, parents are a team in raising their children. it is no one parents' responsibility to take care of and watch the kittens. Of course the mother must feed the kits when young, however once the kittens have been weaned, the father and mother typically begin taking shifts in watching the kittens, equally sharing the duties of a parent. Therefore, kittens typically know and are close to both of their parents rather than just the mother. Families are typically close and care for each other deeply.
