Autumn 104 - Autumn 107

I used to be the lost boy running insane
I used to be the ghost boy looking for fame
I used to work so hard to get it
So hard to get it

Kodin grew up alongside his three sisters and their two fathers. As a kitten he was just as playful and energetic like the rest of the litter, spending their daily lives in harmony. Papa was the funny one, the one with the stories and wisdom. A small tom like Kodin was totally inspired by whatever his father had to say. The months passed and the siblings grew old enough for daily survival. The fathers have done a great job of educating their children with all of the knowledge they had. Hunting and fighting with his siblings made him an excellent challenger, despite the lean body he must have inherited from his biological mother. Oleander took him around to see new places, find new spots to hunt or just for checking out what the world could give to them.

In peace, months passed, his siblings and himself reached the young adulthood - and all of this happy family thing started to itch his nerves. Nothing was exciting anymore, he spent more time alone and away from his family. What Kodin needed was a distraction, a challenge. His wonderful and gentle sisters wouldn't do at all. Neither would his loving dads. But oh, why did he always think things had to change drastically to escape a normal life? Because what came... Was pain and destruction. Something spread across his homeland, and it hit dad first. Papa and Oleander did everything they could to heal Corvo but every attempt brought failure. In the end, they had to bury the black tom.

With the lack of focus, Kodin missed the explanations of Ryan whenever he told about the tribe's life, which should be their own soon, too. Not able to handle his father´s death properly the calico tom because cocky whenever he could towards his remaining parent and his sisters. It wasn´t easy to live with the tom sometimes. The family took their journey to the tribe lands, hoping to find a solution there. To all of the dismay, their last father started to show symptoms of the plague. Oleander was the one pushing the whole family into The Door, and after entering it, the plague fell away from them. Luckily, Ryan recovered completely. The next plans had to be made, Ryan decided to join the tribes immediately, which his children decided to journey around.

The young tom finally had his own will, he could do everything he wanted. After staying with his sisters for a short while, Kodin took off. And much said, pretty far. Summer and Autumn were easy to survive, even though it was lonely... Here and there he met some loners, sometimes a group, messed with them... and left again. It seems like the tom totally lost sight of where to go, even if he wanted to go back to the tribe lands, he wouldn´t find them. A bit bitter and annoyed about the own decision he kept on wandering... and wandering.

One day, in deep winter, he found shelter in a huge meadow. It was unfortunate someone lived there. It was an older she-cat, red in fur and with weird markings. She said she was a widow, grieving over the loss of children and mate. Somehow, Kodin saw a connection to Ryan. And the fact he missed his family. For months Kodin stood at the place with the old hag, it took its time until the she-cat introduced herself as Mara, that she knew about the tribes. Her son and daughter had left to join them when Kodin asked where to find them she laughed.

Been told to walk South, to listen to his heart to find the tribes, Kodin took off. It was summer by the time, and so he traveled as he was told. Only problem: Why listening to his heart? He wasn´t made to feel but to think. Eventually, it was the own intuition that brought him back where he left so many moons ago. A rather dry land, hot and wide. The tom crossed a canyon, following a small river. By surprise, a very, very familiar pelt crossed his eyes and he would never admit, but he was hella glad to see his sister in this desert. They talked and walked. In the end, he started at a weird structure of wood and some pink stone, it was like this thing ordered him here, despite Oleander, who now went by the name Nyx, led him here. His nose touched the totem just to see that nothing happened... Except for the red line on his forehead.

Summer 108 - Winter 108

I used to be the one living in the fast line
I used to be the one who only cry in the rain
I used to work so hard to get it
So hard to get it
